Wyoming’s primary election results are in, and here are the key races to watch.
In the gubernatorial race, incumbent Matt Mead is facing a challenge from businessman Sam Galeotos. Mead has been in office since 2011 and is seeking a third term. Galeotos is a former state legislator and has never run for statewide office before.
In the race for Wyoming’s lone House seat, incumbent Liz Cheney is being challenged by businessman Tim Miller. Cheney has been in office since 2009 and is seeking a fourth term. Miller is making his first run for public office.
In the Senate race, incumbent John Barrasso is running for re-election. He was first elected in 2007 and is seeking a second term. Barrasso is being challenged by businessman Dave Dodson. Dodson is making his first run for public office.

Carbon County, Wyoming

The final results are in for the Carbon County primaries and it was a close race! In the end, it was Tom Johnson who won the republican nomination for county commissioner by a margin of just over 100 votes. This was a hotly contested race with both candidates campaigning hard right up until election day.
For the democrats, it was Sarah Smith who won the nomination for county commissioner. She will face off against Tom Johnson in the general election in November.
It was a big night for incumbents in the other Carbon County primaries. Sheriff Joe Larson and Treasurer John Christensen both won their respective nominations and will also be up for re-election in November.

Lincoln County, Wyoming

Lincoln County, Wyoming is one of the key primaries from Wyoming. The county has a population of about 2,500 and is located in the southeastern part of the state.
