Everyone has a goal in life – some of us have our eyes set on becoming an NFL player like Luke Knox and his brother Dawson, while others may be aiming to be the president of the United States. This article is about how Luke met a tragic fate far too soon.
Luke Knox Bio
Luke Knox, a football player at Florida International University and brother of NFL’s Dawson Knox, has died at the age of 23.
Knox was found unresponsive on the floor of his apartment on Saturday morning after being declared brain dead earlier in the day, according to the Miami Herald.
Born and raised in Homestead, Fla., Knox was a two-time All-American at FIU and was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played for the Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, and Seattle Seahawks before signing with the Oakland Raiders in 2018.
While with the Titans, Knox played alongside his brother Dawson, who is currently a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Dawson wrote on Instagram following Luke’s death: ‘My little brother and I have been through so much together…I love you Luke.’
In addition to his football career, Knox also had a focus on education. He completed his undergraduate degree at FIU in 2015 and later earned his law degree from Florida State University in 2018.

Knox was a starting offensive lineman for FIU and was considered one of the top prospects in his class. He was also being recruited by several Division I programs, including Clemson and Miami.
In March 2017, Knox signed a Letter of Intent to play football at FIU. Less than two months later, he was killed in a car accident while on his way to a football game.
Knox is survived by his siblings, Dawson and Logan Knox, as well as his mother and father.

Knox was driving home from a party in downtown Miami when he crashed into another car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Knox, 21, was a two-time All-American and the Golden Panthers’ captain this season. He had signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2018.
Dawson Knox, also an NFL player, tweeted about his brother’s death: ‘My heart is broken. Luke was such an amazing person with so much to give. I will never forget him.’

Luke Knox, an American football player and brother of NFL player Dawson Knox, has died at the age of 23.
Knox played for the FIU Golden Panthers from 2012 to 2016. In his four seasons with the team, he made 114 total tackles (78 solo), 15 sacks, two interceptions and three fumbles recoveries.
He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft but did not make any appearances for them.
Knox is survived by his mother and father.
